Hakka Lui Cha and Soon Kueh

IMG_2065 客家擂茶

My friend P who visited me brought these Hakka Lui Cha ( 客家擂茶)and Soon Kueh  which was wrapped with 'sar guot' ( sengkuang / yam bean ) for my lunch.

Vegetarian Lunch Menu:
1. Hakka Lui Cha - This is a little bit different from what I usually have out there because onion , spring onion and cabbage are the additional ingredients for this lui cha. I think that would taste even better than the rest.
But their soup has less basil taste than others.
2. Soon Kueh with yam bean filling.

Tea Break - Oatmeal Cookies

IMG_2075 Tea break : Oatmeal cookies and coffee

I have to finish up all these oatmeal cookies that I made  by myself.
Why ? It was because too much oatmeal and too little sugar was add to this oatmeal cookies dough ( It was actually from a batch of failed cookies dough ). And they are too flaky, dry in the mouth and not sweet at all. So, kids don't them too !

Tea Break Menu :
1. 4 pcs of Oatmeal Cookies
2. A cup of Coffee
